This is to notify all bona fide students of the Technical University of Kenya with an interest in participating as delegates that they shall be required to apply online through their portal. Kindly note that the Electoral Board shall consider top first six applicants from each department. The deadline for submission of application is Thursday, 27th October, 2022. SATUK 2022/2023 Election Board
The above Board having been duly appointed by the Vice Chancellor in accordance with the SATUK Constitution Article 13 (C) hereby announces vacancies in the following positions to enable it run the SATUK Council, Congress and delegates elections between 1st November, 2022 and 4th November 2022.

1.SATUK 2022/2023 Election clerks

Requirements

  • Be a bona fide TUK student, and non-partisan;
  • Must be pursuing a Degree/Diploma programme at TUK;
  • Must have cleared fees and signed the nominal roll;
  • Be computer literate;
  • Have effective communication skills;
  • Good report writing skills;
  • Ability to manage people, sensitive data and materials;
  • Must be available for the pre-election training and during the Election Day;
  • Must be of high integrity and abide by the SATUK electoral rules and regulations;
  • Demonstrate experience in similar exercise (attach relevant documents to support the same);
  • Needy students are encouraged to apply.

Appreciation


a) Election clerks shall be paid Kshs. 500/= per day and will work for two (2) days;
b) Provided with lunch on the day of elections; and
c) Given a certificate in recognition of the work done.

Note from SATUK ELECTORAL BOARD 2022/2023: The payments will be made after the job; Applicants attention is drawn to TUK rules and regulations governing student conduct and will be held liable on conviction to TUK disciplinary process for subverting the process of free, fair elections or interfering with the functions of the SATUK 2022/2023 Election Board in discharging its duty; Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Successful candidates will be vetted as per SATUK constitution and other related documents; The Board will give equal opportunity to all eligible applicants. Canvassing will lead to disqualification.
